Konig
Flow formed technology at budget-friendly prices
History & Overview
Founded in 1982, Konig (operated by Konig American) has over 40 years in the aftermarket wheel industry. The brand became a leader and driving force behind the evolution of the sport compact community in the U.S. during the 1990s-2000s tuner era, developing wheels for young import car enthusiasts accessorizing vehicles for the first time.
Konig is owned by YHI International Limited, a Singapore-based company publicly traded since 2003. YHI owns three wheel manufacturing plants in Suzhou (China), Taoyuan (Taiwan), and Malacca (Malaysia) with combined annual production capacity of 2.3-2.6 million units.
Konig has produced flow formed wheels since 2010, continuously improving the technology. Enkei licensed their MAT (Most Advanced Technology) production methods to Konig years ago. Industry experts consider the strength between Konig and Enkei flow formed wheels essentially equal, making Konig a compelling value alternative.
