Founded in April 2013 in Southern California by passionate car enthusiasts who actively participate in local HPDE (High Performance Driver Education) and Time Attack events. The company was built on the principle of creating performance wheels that don't require a premium price tag.

Option Lab uses a proprietary high pressure flow forming method that differs from traditional techniques. While traditional methods use open flame heating with multiple roller passes, Option Lab preheats castings to precise temperature and uses high-pressure rollers to compact and form the barrel in a single pass, minimizing unevenness that leads to stress cracks.

The founders' hands-on racing experience directly influences product development, ensuring wheels meet real-world performance demands. Option Lab distinguishes itself by publishing their FEA analysis and testing procedures rather than simply claiming certification compliance.
