Volk Racing
Rays Engineering's flagship performance brand
History & Overview
Volk Racing is the flagship performance brand of Rays Engineering, founded in 1973 in Osaka, Japan. Rays pioneered forged wheel technology in Japan and has been at the forefront of lightweight wheel construction ever since.
The TE37, introduced in 1996, is arguably the most iconic JDM wheel ever created. Its simple 6-spoke design, forged monoblock construction, and proven motorsport heritage have made it the benchmark against which all other performance wheels are measured. The distinctive 'RAYS' logo etched into each spoke is instantly recognizable worldwide.
Volk Racing wheels dominate in motorsport, from Super GT to time attack to professional drifting. Their engineering philosophy prioritizes lightweight construction and structural integrity, with many wheels designed using extensive FEA (Finite Element Analysis) testing. The brand has won Le Mans with the Mazda 787B in 1991 and achieved five consecutive WEC victories with Toyota Gazoo Racing (2018-2022).

- Check the back of the wheel for JWL and VIA certification marks
- Weight should match published specifications. Volk wheels are notably light
