KMC Wheels

America's most recognized truck and SUV wheel brand

Est. 1982USA

History & Overview

KMC Wheels was founded in 1982 in Carson, California, originally focused on producing affordable performance wheels for the street scene. The brand found its stride in the late 1990s and early 2000s when truck culture exploded and demand for aggressive aftermarket fitments surged. KMC was among the first brands to recognize that truck and SUV owners wanted wheels that looked purpose-built for the outdoors without sacrificing street appeal.

The XD Series, launched as a sub-brand under KMC, became one of the most successful product lines in the truck wheel category. Models like the XD Monster and XD Rockstar practically defined the look of lifted trucks throughout the 2000s and became staples at every truck show across the country.

KMC is now part of Hoonigan (formerly Wheel Pros), which has helped the brand keep inventory consistent and distribution wide. KMC has maintained its design-driven identity focused on trucks, SUVs, and off-road vehicles throughout. Their wheels appear as OEM fitments on a growing number of special edition trucks from Ford, Toyota, and Nissan.
