Having a 1924 Model T race against a 2024 F-150 Lightning Super Truck just sounds like the setup to a really expensive joke. Leave it to Red Bull though... not only to have the budget, but also the audacity to actually pull it off.

Today, Red Bull dropped a video that puts together what could honestly be the most uneven playing field in automotive history. We're talking about 100s of years worth of cars going head-to-head in lap challenges. They had everything from wooden wheels to 2,200 horsepower electric monsters.

Max had went for the obvious power play... a 2017 Ford Fiesta WRC Rally car and a F-150 Lightning Super Truck, while Arvid cosplayed a vintage racing purist and opted for classics like the 1970 Boss 302 and 1986 RS200.

In the end, the acceleration results were about as predictable as you'd expect. Max's rally car posted a 6.96-second quarter, while Arvid struggled with the Boss 302's clutch.
Here's where it gets interesting. The Lightning Super Truck absolutely demolished everyone with a 6.47-second run. This "truck", if you can even call it that at this point, produces "up to 6,000 lbs of downforce at high speeds", and runs four motors for a total of 2,200 horsepower . It's basically a street-legal science experiment that just so happens to have Ford badges. Well done.

Watching a century-old car navigate a modern race circuit is oddly enjoyable. No power steering, super questionable brakes, and beyond sloppy handling.

The cornering challenge brought out a '26 Mustang Dark Horse SC vs. the OG 1966 GT40. Even though sixty years separated the two cars, somehow only four seconds separated the lap times. The GT40 managed 41 seconds while the Dark Horse posted 37.81. Granted, the GT40 won Le Mans before, but still.

We're likely going to see more of these Donut Media styled, cross-generational matchups as electric vehicles mature. The performance gaps are becoming so dramatic that comparisons start feeling almost unfair... Almost.
